Recchia Petitions Against Bloomberg Budget Cut

nyc.gov
Recchia.

City Councilman Domenic Recchia, who helped lead Michael Bloomberg's effort to extend term limits, is now organizing to stop the mayor from rescinding the $400 property-tax rebate.

Here's Recchia's online petition--he's the first, and at the moment the only signature. The letter is short and to the point:

While we agree that tough decisions have to be made to meet the challenges of an economy in crisis, the $400 property tax rebate check is important to many struggling New Yorkers. We request that you eliminate your proposal to cancel the rebate.

All of a sudden He's the

All of a sudden He's the champion for the middle class. What a hypocrite! Does He think the people are so stupid. He voted himself a $12,500 raise, He supports Marty Markowitz's 40 million dollar Asser Levy Park Amphitheater project, even though the Mayor is cutting deep into the Fire Dept., Police Dept., Education, Libraries etc., etc. etc. Recchia's been bought & paid for by many Developers especially Joe Sitt of Thor Equities, He voted for Congestion Pricing , He voted to Extend Term Limits for Himself & the the Mayor, He's gotten hundreds of thousands of dollars to give to the Sephardic Community Center & the Sephardic Angel Fund. Come on Recchia, The People are NOT stupid. Don't think you can posture yourself on the side of the middle class & poor ,when you are just a Court Jester within the circle of King Bloomberg.

What does Recchia know about

What does Recchia know about strugglinh New Yorkers. He's one of the highest earners on the City Council. He has a lakefront home in Southampton NY on Peconic Bay. He paid his wife for Rent for an office in his own house from political contributions. This guy wants another term, what a laugh. Let's keep it real Mr. Recchia. If there's one job the Mayor should cut is YOURS.
