Governor's Choice

How disappointing that Nydia Velasquez is the front runner: she's incredibly underwhelming -- I would hope that Gov. Paterson can maintain the mold of RFK, Moynihan, Schumer, and Clinton. Velasquez will garner political points -- but it's a shameless pitch to an ethnic constituency that is, frankly, beneath the Governor.

I wonder what Councilman

I wonder what Councilman Recchia is getting out of this deal? He doesn't do anything without getting something in return. That's his MO. Either the Mayor is giving him something or Joe Sitt of Thor Equities is giving him something. I guess time will tell.
